i'm usin vuze 4.0.0.0 and tried to mod it with abuze 3.1.1.1_b05.220 but nothin happened...
vuze started as usual with it's own splash screen and no options about shu mod.
what's wrong with it?

That's because you need version 4.0.0.0 of the Shu mod

is there a good reason to upgrade to vuze 4 or not?

i think there is not an exact reason to update but older versions automaticly starts to download new version everytime i re-start the vuze. so am i able to stop them?

You can change that in the settings.
